How It Works?

The Alt Future Summit it’s an online and global event that aims to look at various perspectives due to the geographical, cultural and national differences. It brings together different players to discuss how technology is impacting the future of work.

For the 2023 edition our goals are

Goal #1

More diverse topics in the following 4 fields

Education Visionaries

Education is the basis of any societal transformation. We’ve seen that industry goes hand-in-hand with academia and we want to give a stage for those who are ahead of the industry. Last edition, we discussed how the use of AI and VR in education, the concept and techniques of Modern Education and saw some examples of new teaching methods and organizations.

Corporate Thought Leaders

The corporate thought leaders have the wisdom of reality and are the first to be affected by change, either embracing it or challenging it. Our goal is to hear the insights and the experience of the best ones, in different industries, and to see how the emerging technology is affecting their business. Last edition, we covered concepts such as people development, robotics and its possible replacement of humans, using AI to unlock talent, using branding as a powerful business tool and discussing the ethics of Blockchain.

Ecosystem Builders

Last edition, we discussed how the use of AI and VR in education, the concept and techniques of Modern Education and saw some examples of new teaching methods and organizationsThe future is unknown but one thing we know for sure: people look for communities. And nowadays we’re looking at an emerging trend of digital communities based on blockchain, innovation, decentralization and digitalization of life. Last edition we invited people from all around the globe to discuss what ecosystems are, how they materialize in the real world, what is the role of emerging technology and how are they in the virtual world.

Worker of the Future

As technology evolves, new working models appear everyday. Here, we will discuss what kind of skills the worker of the future needs and what kinds of possibilities they have. We invite digital nomads, freelancers, entrepreneurs and workers “outside-of-the box”.

Have an hybrid event with formats for every taste

We will stream it with the Cast from VideoWiki from sunny Portugal (city to be announced).

Tech Talks

In this format, a company comes and showcases their latest technology for the maximum of 15 minutes. With these talks, you will understand the main functionalities, how, when and where they can be used. Check the last edition of Tech Talks here

Alt Talks

Alt Talks are the core of Alt Future as they bring Speakers to the stage to expose a topic for the maximum of 10 minutes. They can do so by sharing a use case, an experience or a study and they’re divided into the 4 fields above mentioned (Education, Corporate, Ecosystem and Worker of the Future).

Panels

We promote healthy discussions and debates along a variety of topics. The panels last for from 30 to 50 minutes and have a minimum of 1 moderator and two speakers.

Future Today Pitch

The Future Today pitch is a new format in which we want to include the youth and the innovator with their project ideas. The winners from the Alt Future Challenge (link to the challenge page) will be invited to share their experience as they represent a bit of the future in the present moment.

Have speakers and attendees from every continent

Diversity and inclusion and two strong values in Alt Future. We can only speak of the future if we include different realities and perspectives.
